• Name, phone number, and email address

• Home address (collected for service-area planning and location expansion)

• Login/authentication data (we use phone number + one-time passcode (OTP) verification — we do not store OTP codes after verification

Pet Profile Information

• Pet name, breed, weight, height, and color, used to match your pet to compatible wash equipment

Booking & Payment Information

• Appointment history, subscription plan, wash credits/entitlements

• Payment is processed through our third-party payment processor (Nayax). We do not store your full card number on our servers.

Location Information

• Approximate device location, used to show you the nearest facility

Usage & Device Information

• App interaction data, device type, and diagnostic logs, used to maintain and improve the Services

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Create and manage your account and subscription

• Process bookings, enforce time-slot rules, and unlock facility access

• Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and account/billing notifications

• Detect and prevent misuse or abuse of the subscription and machine-access system

• Operate our loyalty/rewards program, where applicable

• Respond to support requests and resolve service issues

• Improve and expand our Services, including planning new locations
  

  Data Retention After Account Deletion

  When you delete your account, we will deactivate your account and remove your access to our services. However, we retain certain information 
  after account deletion for legitimate business purposes, including:

  Contact and identity information (such as your name, email address, and phone number), which we retain for up to 10 years to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and prevent fraud.

  We do not retain full payment card information after account deletion; any payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor in accordance with their own retention and security practices.

  Retained data is stored securely and access is restricted to authorized personnel. After the applicable retention period expires, this information will be [deleted/anonymized/aggregated].

  If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights regarding this retained data, 
  including the right to request earlier deletion in certain circumstances. See the "Your Rights" section below for details.

3. SMS / Text Messaging Communications

We use your mobile phone number solely to send one-time passcodes (OTP) for account login and sign-up verification. We do not send appointment reminders, billing alerts, marketing, promotional, or loyalty/referral messages via SMS.

• Opt-in Consent: By entering your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Butt Rub and Scrub for account verification and service notifications. Message frequency varies (up to 10/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Your number will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

• Message frequency: You will receive one text message each time you log in or sign up and request a verification code. Frequency varies based on how often you log in.

• Message and data rates may apply.

• Opt-Out: Because OTP messages are required to log in and verify your identity, opting out of these messages (e.g., by replying STOP) will prevent you from logging in or completing sign-up. If you no longer wish to receive OTP texts, you may close your account instead — see our Delete My Account / Data page.

• Help: Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at support@buttrubandscrub.com, for assistance.

• Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No Third-Party Marketing Use of Mobile Data: We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used solely to deliver OTP verification codes as described above. This restriction does not apply to service providers (such as our SMS delivery platform) who process this data solely on our behalf to deliver the Services.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Services (e.g., payment processing via Nayax, SMS/notification delivery, cloud hosting, customer support tools), under confidentiality obligations

• Facility/location partners, limited to what's needed to grant machine/door access

• Legal or safety purposes, if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our members, staff, or the public

• Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections

As noted above, mobile opt-in/SMS consent data is never shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Cookies & Website Tracking

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@buttrubandscrub.com and we will delete it.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights & Choices

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
